Charging battery with your urine? What! Yup, just introduce the NoPoPo battery. This battery enables you to charge it with your urine. Very environmental-friendly, right? But, can you imagine it? I can’t. The first thought got to my mind is how is the smell of the battery after mixing with urine.

Besides you urine, you may charge it with various liquids, such as beer, apple juice, and cola drinks. This battery is developed by a Japanesse company named  Aqua Power System. In the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) of 2009, this new battery was exhibited.

How can we charge the battery? Yup, we just need to pour the liquids into a small container connected to the battery.

Maybe you ask why we need liquids to charge the battery. First, I also asked it. But, now I know that these liquids are needed to raise the reaction between allummunium and magnesium in the battery.

However, it does not produce the power as strong as the usual batteries. For example, the power is only able to support a small watch.
If you are interested, you are able to get the NoPoPo  at US$ 15. However, it is only availabe in Japan now. But, I will recommend after the company develop the battery for the bigger one. If it only produces small power, hm…. not!!
