Apple being the Third Biggest Supplier of Mobile Phone in the World
Steve Jobs is so satisfied because in his fourth quarter, Apple is to be the third biggest supplier in the world. Jobs said that iPhone donates income to Apple about US$ 4.6 billion. It makes Apple as the third biggest supplier in the world. In the first position, Nokia appears with its income about US$12.7 billion and Samsung in the second position.
Therefore, Apple is superior than Sony Ericsson and Motorola.
The happier news to Jobs is Apple was able to sell handset more than other opponent, Research in Motion (RIM) in the fourth quarter.
In addition, Jobs told that Apple was able to reach its target to sell 10 millions Phone in 2008 without any difficulty. The iPhone selling in the fourth quarter of 2008 increased significantly, Apple is able to sell 7 millions iPhone 3G. If compare with the situation a year ago (only a million units), Apple increased its selling amount.
Moreover, iPod was also can be sold about 11 million units in the same quarter.
In brief, Apple got its income about US$11.68 billion in that quarter, iPhone donates about 39 percent from all of the income.
