Panasonic Wants to Buy Sanyo
Recent days, acquisition and merger issues are booming. Panasonic want to buy Sanyo, this is the rumor which is developed. But, the final result will be announced next Friday.
If this issue is true, Panasonic will b the world leader of rechargeable batteries producers. It is a strategic way because rechargeable batteries are used in many portable electronic devices and electrical and hybrid engines. Now, Sanyo is the first lithium battery in the world, while Panasonic and Sony are the rivals.
Masayoshi Okamoto, the trading leader in Jujiya Securities said that buying partners which has strong products and consolidates domestic market is a short cut to achieve profits and expansion.
Besides, digital camera market governance by Panasonic will be bigger, since Sanyo has sold 18 – 20 million digital cameras this year. Panasonic annual capaicty is about 6 – 8 millions camera digitals, while if it joins with Panasonic, it will be a camera digital producer which has the biggest production capacity in the world.
But, the spokesman of Panasonic, Akira Kadota, said that there has no any appoinment between Sanyp and Panasonic related to this problem. He also rejected to comment of saying this with Sanyo’s stock licencee
