The Fastest SSD from Intel

Do you the fastest SSD in the world? Yup, it comes from Intel. This time, Intel has announced a new SSD product based on single-level cell (SLC) technology. The E-X25  Extreme can read till 250 MB / second, while the writing speed is 170 MB / second. However, the capacity is only  32GB

This new SSD wants to overcome the problem came from its product, the X25-M. SSD product X25-M 80 GB can you see in the market from September. This SSD is able to perform very fast, it can read till 250 MB/ second. However, the writing speed is only 70 MB / second. This problem happened because at that time Intel used multi-level cell technology.

As we know, all of ‘Extreme’ products from Intel is expensive, includes the SSD. X25-M 80GB currently is sold via online for $ 621 or $ 7.76 per Gigabyte, while X25-E 32GB is  sold for $ 719 or $ 22.47 per Gigabyte. Storage-based SSD is not cheap, especially the SSD-based technology SLC.
